Expanding Collaboration with Domestic and International Design Firms
Daewoo Engineering & Construction announced on December 22 that it has signed a business agreement with Wilmotte (WILMOTTE) of France and has begun work on elevating the design standards for the reconstruction project of Gongjak Apartment in Yeouido.
On December 19, Daewoo Engineering & Construction signed a three-party memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Wilmotte and the Gongjak Apartment Reconstruction Steering Committee at Park One Tower in Yeouido, Seoul. Wilmotte is a world-renowned firm known for designing French landmarks such as the renovation of the Louvre Museum and the ?lys?e Palace.

This agreement was established to transform Gongjak Apartment in Yeouido into a high-end residential complex that sets a new standard for the local skyline. Immediately after the signing ceremony, the officials visited the project site to hold practical discussions.
The reconstruction project for Gongjak Apartment involves constructing three buildings, each with seven basement levels and 49 above-ground floors, on a 16,857-square-meter site. The development will include 570 apartment units, various community facilities, workspaces, and retail spaces. The total construction cost is 57.04 billion KRW.
Kim Cheolhun, Chairman of the Steering Committee, stated, "Based on the trust built since the selection of the construction company in 2023, this collaboration will become a new standard for urban maintenance projects."
A representative from Daewoo Engineering & Construction commented, "Cooperation with Wilmotte will allow Gongjak Apartment in Yeouido to go beyond being a simple residential space and become a symbolically designed landmark leading the urban landscape of Yeouido."
Wilmotte also stated, "We will present a world-class design that harmonizes artistry and technology in this prime location in Seoul."
