Toss Bank announced on the 22nd that on the 19th, it visited the Donui-dong Goshiwon Village in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to present residents with a special Christmas.
Toss Bank donated 50 million won to the Donui-dong Goshiwon Village, and more than 30 employees held "Toss Bank Day" from early morning until late afternoon, spending time with the residents.
The employees operated a one-day "Warmth Store," personally delivering winter supplies to help residents get through the cold season. The Warmth Store is a food market specialized for the Goshiwon Village, operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, where residents can freely choose the items they need and receive support for self-sufficiency.
At the Warmth Store, Toss Bank employees prepared and distributed winter bedding, warm clothing, and thermal underwear to the residents. They communicated with the residents to understand their needs and even delivered supplies directly to the homes of elderly residents with limited mobility, showing thoughtful care.
They also carried out activities to help residents prepare for winter and improve their living environment. Using weatherstripping and insulation materials, they helped a total of nine households get ready for the cold, improving their living conditions so they could spend a warm winter. They also cleaned up trash in the alleys and decorated the village to create a festive Christmas atmosphere for the year-end season.
Toss Bank held a warm winter solstice event and a community gathering for the residents. They organized small games such as Yutnori to encourage participation and shared generous prizes, fostering communication with the community. A food truck served red bean porridge on-site, providing an opportunity for residents to come together. Employees also made home deliveries for those with limited mobility.
Resident A of the Goshiwon Village said, "This winter feels much colder than last year, but Toss Bank came in person, made my home warmer, and even shared delicious red bean porridge. I am truly touched by their kindness. In the past three years, Toss Bank is the first to visit us so sincerely and share their hearts with us."
On this day, Toss Bank received a certificate of commendation from the Seoul Metropolitan Government. It was the "2025 Award for Contribution to Welfare and Self-Support for the Homeless," which the bank received from the city on November 25. Toss Bank was recognized as an institution contributing to the welfare and self-sufficiency of the homeless. The award was presented by Kim Mikyung, Head of the Self-Support Division at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and received by Lee Jihong, Executive Director of Communications at Toss Bank.
A Toss Bank representative stated, "We strived to support a warm and safe winter by going beyond simple donations and supply deliveries, working to improve the living environment and create a positive community atmosphere. Over the past three consecutive years, we have visited the Goshiwon Village, sincerely considering what the residents truly need and communicating with authenticity. As a result, we will continue to maintain this ongoing connection."
