KOSDAQ-listed company Neofect announced on December 22 that it will launch two new beauty devices. With this new product launch, Neofect is expanding its business scope beyond the rehabilitation and treatment market into the beauty market, marking a significant turning point in its portfolio.
The upcoming beauty devices are the personal "Dr. OARO NanoPen" and the medical "Zeus Wave Pro Lifting." Both products were developed based on the patented medical device technology of Weber Instrument, Neofect's wholly owned subsidiary, and the clinical experience of Jung Jaeyoon, director of OARO Dermatology, who is recognized as one of Korea's top skin health experts.
The "Dr. OARO NanoPen" uses a microstructure tip (needle) designed to efficiently deliver active ingredients without excessively damaging the skin barrier, making it safe for use in both home care and aesthetic environments. The "Zeus Wave Pro Lifting" utilizes a double-layer structure that combines extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) technology with Korea's only piezoelectric element (Piezo type) arranged in two layers, enabling stable delivery of the required energy deep into the skin for aesthetic treatments without loss.
Domestic and international sales and marketing are scheduled to begin in earnest in the first half of next year. Neofect is preparing to sell domestically through both B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer) channels. The company is currently negotiating supply contracts with OARO Dermatology chain clinics and major plastic surgery hospitals in the Gangnam area. In overseas markets, local testing is already underway, focusing on Japan and Southeast Asia.
This new product launch is a follow-up measure to Neofect's decision in October to absorb Weber Instrument through a merger. By entering the personal device market, Neofect aims to increase added value, activate a subscription economy model based on consumables sales, and maximize profitability in line with the production and launch schedule of bio (PDRN/PN) raw materials.
With about two weeks left before the completion of the merger, the two companies have begun upgrading existing medical device products and expanding new product lines, as well as starting production of aesthetic beauty devices. Neofect has also reorganized its structure, establishing new divisions for medical device and personal device businesses. Once the merger is finalized, Neofect plans to transform into a "total medical beauty tech" company through vertical integration of medical devices and both medical and personal beauty devices.
A Neofect representative stated, "With the completion of our full line of medical and personal devices, we are entering a new phase of growth. Our portfolio will be developed in a triangular structure encompassing AI robotic rehabilitation medicine, medical and beauty devices, and inorganic materials, with the inorganic materials business set as our core focus."
