The Consumer ESG Innovation Awards is an event jointly organized by Future Consumer Action and the Consumer Rights Forum, established to recognize organizations that have contributed to enhancing consumer trust and fulfilling social responsibility based on ESG values.

The Small Enterprise and Market Service was honored with the award in recognition of its efforts to internalize ESG perspectives throughout its support projects for small businesses and traditional markets, as well as in overall institutional operations, thereby promoting sustainable management.

By transitioning the paper-based Onnuri Gift Certificates to a digital format, the organization achieved a reduction of approximately 1,600 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. It also practiced eco-friendly management by collaborating with public institutions to collect and recycle idle assets and discarded electronic devices, utilizing them to support digitally vulnerable groups. In addition, it contributed to inclusive employment by providing job experience opportunities at the organization to about 200 unemployed young people and creating approximately 1,400 senior jobs. The organization has also worked to create social value by operating job experience and entrepreneurship-linked programs for out-of-school youth and students at specialized high schools.

Furthermore, the organization operates the 'National Participation Innovation Group' and 'On-site Monitoring Group,' which allow the public to participate in the policy-making, evaluation, and review processes, thereby enhancing policy communication and trust. Through initiatives such as 'Notice to the Public' and 'Reflecting Public Opinions,' it is also practicing transparent management centered on communication with the public.

Park Sunghyo, President of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, stated, "This award is a recognition of our efforts to strengthen a sustainable management system across all business and operational areas of the organization through ESG management innovation. We will continue to expand ESG activities to further strengthen the foundation for sustainable growth in the local economy."
