This competition recognizes institutions that have achieved outstanding results using the mobile public health center system, and Yangju City was highly praised for its stable operation of a customized, non-face-to-face health management project for the elderly.
Yangju Public Health Center has been carrying out an AI and IoT-based health management initiative for seniors aged 65 and older, providing non-face-to-face health management services using health monitoring devices such as wrist activity trackers, scales, blood pressure monitors, and blood glucose meters.
In particular, to improve digital accessibility for the elderly, the center has also offered customized ICT (Information and Communication Technology) education tailored to their needs, thereby enhancing their ability to use devices and strengthening their self-health management skills.
An official from the public health center stated, "Our efforts to actively utilize the mobile public health center system and support seniors in managing their health independently in daily life have been well received," adding, "We will continue to work on preventing chronic diseases and promoting health among the elderly through digital-based health management services."
