This case presentation was held at The Jackson Nine's Hotel in Chuncheon on December 11-12, where each participating village presented their results. The event comprehensively evaluated program operation methods, implementation outcomes, and post-management. Judging criteria included appropriateness, originality, and effectiveness.

Sanyang Village, located in Garisan-ri, Inje-eup, was established as a disaster prevention experience village after flood damage in 2006 and has continuously operated "Living Experience" programs tailored to disaster prevention education and the characteristics of the village. In particular, the village received high marks for its close-knit support system, which provides free rental of linked greenhouses and assigns mentors for farming, daily life, and program areas to reduce the initial settlement burden for those wishing to return to farming or relocate to the countryside.

Additionally, the village operates a non-stop rural migration system in which participants can directly cultivate and sell tomato crops in the linked greenhouses, allowing them to realistically experience the agricultural income structure.

Job and entrepreneurship-linked education was also cited as a strength of Sanyang Village. Specialized courses such as woodworking and furniture making, taught by a nationally certified woodworking master, not only enabled participants to obtain certifications but were also designed to lead to future entrepreneurship or employment, thereby increasing participant satisfaction.

Furthermore, programs reflecting the diverse needs of urban residents-such as nature-based healing programs planned and developed by the village over three years and accommodations that allow pets-were key factors in attracting participant applications.

The village has also consistently operated community activities, including expanding resident exchanges and visiting households of elderly people living alone, which has helped build trust with the local community and contributed to stable settlement.

With this award, Sanyang Village plans to further advance its settlement-focused programs to establish a more stable rural migration and settlement model.

An official from Inje County stated, "Sanyang Village is an outstanding example where housing, farming, education, and community are organically linked for rural migration and settlement," adding, "We will spare no administrative support to ensure that this excellent model spreads throughout Inje County."
