Yangcheon District Expands Unmanned Civil Service Issuance Machines... Introduces Corporate-Exclusive Issuance System

10 New Machines Installed or Replaced This Year, Now Operating at 36 Locations in Total

Yangcheon District in Seoul (headed by District Mayor Lee Kijae) announced on December 21 that it will expand the operation of unmanned civil service issuance machines so that residents can conveniently obtain various official documents at their preferred times.

Yangcheon District Expands Unmanned Civil Service Issuance Machines... Introduces Corporate-Exclusive Issuance System A district resident is issuing various certificates at the newly installed unmanned civil service issuance machine at Sinjeong Station on Subway Line 5. Provided by Yangcheon District.

The unmanned civil service issuance machine is an automated administrative service system that allows residents to obtain 123 types of official certificates-such as resident registration, health and welfare, local taxes, and family relationship registers-at any time without having to visit an administrative office in person.

This year, the district installed new unmanned civil service issuance machines at three locations with high foot traffic, including Sinjeong Station. At seven locations such as Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital and Yangcheon Tax Office, outdated machines that had exceeded their service life were replaced with the latest models equipped with features for both hearing and visually impaired individuals, thereby enhancing accessibility and convenience for all visitors, including seniors and people with disabilities.

By the end of this year, the district plans to install a Supreme Court-exclusive integrated unmanned issuance machine in the civil service office at the district office, significantly improving the environment for issuing corporate-related documents. Previously, residents had to visit the registry office in person to obtain documents such as corporate seals and corporate registration certificates, but going forward, they will be able to issue these corporate-specific documents directly at the district office.

Since the start of the eighth popularly elected administration, the district has continued to expand unmanned civil service issuance machines, focusing on areas with low accessibility and facilities with high demand. Including the newly installed machines this year, a total of 36 locations are currently operating these machines, with usage steadily increasing, as evidenced by approximately 60,000 issuances annually. Detailed information on installation locations can be found on the Yangcheon District Office website (Civil Service section).

The district has also established a 'Health Center Certificate Unmanned Civil Service Issuance System,' enabling residents to easily print various official certificates tested at health centers nationwide using unmanned issuance machines.

Lee Kijae, Mayor of Yangcheon District, stated, "With the expanded operation of unmanned civil service issuance machines, residents can now access civil service more conveniently," adding, "We will continue to improve civil service to further enhance the convenience and satisfaction of our residents."
