Gimpo City (Mayor Kim Byungsu) announced that it held the special cultural event "Aegibong Winter Light" at Aegibong Peace Ecological Park on the 20th, delivering an inspiring winter night to citizens and visitors.

This year marks the third edition of the Christmas event, which, under the theme "A Feast of Three-Colored Trees," elevated its artistic value by combining the unique atmosphere of Aegibong with cutting-edge media art and dynamic performances.

In particular, the "Aegibong Tree of Hope," which reflects the history of Aegibong, the "Tree Road," which wraps the walking path in light, and the "Media Tree," which incorporates advanced technology, all received an enthusiastic response from visitors. Each time one of the three trees was lit, the audience expressed their amazement, exclaiming that these were "Christmas memories like gifts that can only be experienced at Aegibong."

The highlight of the event was the "Three-Colored Trees," which drew gasps of admiration from the audience. The event began with the unveiling of the "Aegibong Tree of Hope," inheriting Aegibong's historical symbolism. Next, the "Tree Road," which created an illuminated tunnel along the ecological trail, offered a dreamlike experience akin to walking among the stars.

At the stairway plaza, the "Media Tree," equipped with state-of-the-art technology, showcased the essence of interactive content by engaging with the audience. During the day, the Media Tree became a "Wishing Tree," displaying messages sent by citizens via QR code in real time, serving as a channel for communication. The event reached its climax with a "wire action performance" during the finale.

In addition, a variety of performances-including indoor busking, a concert by the city’s youth choir, musical singers, and the Aegibong Musical Gala Show-made Christmas at Aegibong even more vibrant.

This year marks the third time that a Christmas event has been held at Aegibong with visitors. Since 2023, Gimpo City has showcased the unique atmosphere of Aegibong through annual Christmas events, delivering messages of hope and unity with distinctive content.
