Set amidst a 1.32-million-square-meter organic Dendropanax forest and lakes, this Muan festival, themed "A Forest Shaped by Time," is anticipated as a special winter celebration that harmoniously blends nature and culture.
The Dendropanax forest hosting the Aurum Hwangchil Festival is a natural attraction adjacent to Mokpo's 4th Water Source, and is considered a local treasure for its historical significance and ecological beauty. During the event, visitors can sample Dendropanax tea, Dendropanax beer, and Dendropanax wine at the brand experience center, enjoying both the flavors and health benefits of Dendropanax.
This winter season, the festival features a variety of content including foods and teas made with Dendropanax, performances, and trekking, making it a recommended destination in Muan for couples, families, and groups of friends. In the plaza, visitors can taste healthy dishes such as Dendropanax duck stew, Dendropanax marinated butterfish, and Dendropanax tea, while in the evening, performances blending traditional Korean music and contemporary music are scheduled to take place.
In particular, after the winter event, the site is planned to be open year-round, allowing for visits in all four seasons.
