As the year comes to a close, Bonghwa County has joined forces with the local community to take collective action for youth protection.

The Promise to Protect Youth Echoes Through Bonghwa-eup Bonghwa County Year-End Nationwide Youth Protection Joint Campaign

Bonghwa County announced on December 19 that it held the "2025 Nationwide Youth Protection Joint Campaign" in the Bonghwa-eup area on December 17.

This event was organized to raise public awareness about youth protection and to build consensus on blocking harmful environments that threaten young people at the community level.

Hosted by the Bonghwa District Council of the Ministry of Justice Youth Crime Prevention Committee and supported by Bonghwa County, the campaign brought together about 100 participants, including officials from the Bonghwa County Office, Bonghwa Office of Education, Bonghwa Police Station, and members of the Bonghwa District Council of the Youth Crime Prevention Committee. They marched through the streets of Bonghwa-eup.

Despite the cold weather, the participants carried placards with youth protection messages, distributed leaflets to residents, and called for active interest and cooperation in protecting young people and improving harmful environments.

They directly delivered the message on-site that young people must be protected from various harmful factors that may arise during the year-end season.

Bonghwa County Governor Park Hyunkook stated, "Creating an environment where young people can grow up safely and happily is not just the responsibility of the administration, but of the entire community," adding, "Bonghwa County will continue to strengthen institutional support and field-centered prevention activities for youth protection."

He further emphasized, "The interest and action of county residents are the strongest safeguard for youth protection."

Meanwhile, the Bonghwa District Council of the Youth Crime Prevention Committee and Bonghwa County regularly conduct joint guidance, inspections, and campaigns every month to block harmful environments and prevent delinquency, working together to establish a local safety net where young people can live with peace of mind.
