Dong-A Otsuka Signs Sponsorship Deal with KPGA Pro Golfer Lee Donghwan

Dong-A Otsuka announced on the 19th that it has signed a sponsorship contract with KPGA professional golfer Lee Donghwan (Sokcho-i).


Lee Donghwan recorded two wins on the Japan Tour in 2006, becoming the youngest player ever to be named Rookie of the Year. In 2012, he became the first Asian player to top the PGA Tour Qualifying School. Since then, he has demonstrated his competitiveness on various stages and is currently active on the KPGA Tour.

Through this sponsorship, Dong-A Otsuka plans to support Lee Donghwan in improving his performance and ensuring a stable season. The company will provide sports drinks, including Pocari Sweat, and various sports gear throughout his training and tournament schedule.


In addition, Dong-A Otsuka and Lee Donghwan plan to jointly carry out a variety of events and promotions to increase exposure for the Pocari Sweat and Narangd Cider brands and expand engagement with golf fans.


Park Cheolho, CEO of Dong-A Otsuka, stated, "Through this partnership with Lee Donghwan, who has consistently demonstrated competitiveness on both domestic and international stages, we aim to further promote the importance of hydration in sports and the value of Pocari Sweat. We will support him so that he can compete throughout the season in optimal condition."
