Ahn Dogul Announces Securing 1.2 Billion Won in Special Grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety

"Alleviating Residents' Inconveniences and Creating a Safer Urban Environment"

On December 19, Ahn Dogul, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea representing Gwangju Dong-gu and Nam-gu (Eul), secured 1.2 billion won in special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for the second half of this year.

The special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety are funds provided by comprehensively considering the financial conditions of local governments, as well as the necessity and urgency of specific projects. These grants are used not only for disaster and safety response but also to address local issues.

The special grants secured by Assemblyman Ahn will be allocated to four projects: 600 million won for the installation of odor reduction facilities in the sewage pipelines of Gwangju Dong-gu; 200 million won for the environmental improvement project on Art Street (from Dongbu Police Station to Jungang-ro); 200 million won for the maintenance of aging facilities on Cheonbyeon Jwaro in Gwangju Nam-gu; and 200 million won for the improvement of nighttime walking environments on Sajik-dong Dullegil (Sajik-gil). In total, 1.2 billion won will be invested to alleviate residents' inconveniences and create a safer urban environment.

In particular, the issues of sewage pipeline odor and improvements to walking environments are everyday concerns that residents have continuously raised. With the securing of these special grants, it is expected that the projects will gain significant momentum.

Ahn Dogul stated, "With the securing of these special grants, we can now move forward with key projects that are directly related to residents' daily lives and safety," adding, "I will continue to closely monitor and address practical issues raised in the field."
