GS S&D announced on the 19th that it has secured a contract for a multi-family housing project with 694 units in Gamsam-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu.
GS S&D signed a construction contract with Korea Real Gamsam-dong Multi-family Housing PFV to build a multi-family residential complex in Gamsam-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu, consisting of 8 buildings, each with 3 basement floors and 35 above-ground floors, totaling 694 units. Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2026, with completion targeted for December 2029.
The project site is within walking distance of Jukjeon Station on Daegu Metro Line 2 and is adjacent to Dalgubeol-daero, providing excellent access to downtown and major industrial complexes. It is also about 3.5 kilometers from Seodaegu Station. The location offers convenient access to the regional road network via Seongseo IC, and Duryu Park is also within walking distance. Additional benefits are expected from the relocation of the new Daegu City Hall.
The contract amount is 208 billion won, which is about 13.2% of last year's sales. This is the third-largest order this year, following the Sangju multi-family housing project (239.8 billion won) and the Maporo 5 District Urban Redevelopment Project (230.8 billion won).
GS S&D plans to further strengthen its strategy of "prioritizing construction rights and generating development profits" through this project. The company is actively participating in blind funds, which are gaining traction among major construction firms, expanding its role beyond simple construction to include development, and solidifying its position as a developer. Blind funds are characterized by raising capital without specifying investment targets in advance, enabling rapid investment decisions and a high success rate.
This Gamsam-dong project marks the company's second achievement through investment in a blind fund and its participation as the first contractor for the fund's initial project.
