This agreement was established to create new jobs for seniors and contribute to integrated community care by providing household photovoltaic panel cleaning services, which will increase the efficiency of eco-friendly energy generation, facilitate welfare checks, and help identify additional welfare services through daily care activities.

The Korea Senior Citizens Development Institute will support the budget and management for the new pilot project, while Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd. Samcheok Bitdream Headquarters will provide support for facility installation, initial operating costs, and management expenses. Samcheok City will offer ongoing administrative support and cover operating expenses. The Samcheok Senior Club will be responsible for recruiting participants, providing job training, and managing overall project operations.

The 'Eco Energy Safety Support Center' will be operated as a senior capacity utilization project starting in January 2026, with 12 seniors aged 60 or older participating. The participants will select Wondeok-eup as the pilot area and plan to provide photovoltaic panel cleaning and in-home safety monitoring services for vulnerable elderly households among those with solar panel installations in the area.

Samcheok City expects that this project will help enhance the efficiency of eco-friendly renewable energy, contribute to achieving carbon neutrality, and significantly strengthen a sustainable local safety net through collaboration among public enterprises, local governments, and community organizations.
