Timely Identification of Needs and Challenges, Creating a Networking Platform for Supported Enterprises

Gyeongbuk Technopark (President Ha Inseong, Gyeongbuk TP) announced that it held the "2025 Gyeongbuk Region Growth Ladder Support Project Performance Sharing Event" at the Inter-Burgo Hotel in Daegu on December 17.


The Gyeongbuk Region Growth Ladder Support Project is an initiative that fosters and supports outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province according to their stage of growth. It consists of the following programs: Support for Potential Enterprises (27 companies), Support for Prospective Leading Enterprises (25 companies), Support for Regional Innovation Leading Enterprises (5 companies), Autonomous Planning Investment Ecosystem Support (10 companies), and Global Link Support (7 companies). This year, a total of 74 companies received support.

At this performance sharing event, an awards ceremony was held for four companies selected as outstanding enterprises, along with presentations of best practices, lectures, and Tech Partnering sessions. The award-winning companies were Twell (CEO Kim Gunwoo), A4Lab (CEO Park Jaeyoung), Daywells (CEO Hwang Jeongheung), and Iretech (CEO Yang Junhwa). These companies presented their participation projects and notable achievements in the Growth Ladder Support Project, receiving enthusiastic responses from attending businesses.


In the keynote lecture, Byun Jungwook, CEO of SID Partners, spoke on the topic of "Latest Technology Trends and Open Innovation Strategies for Accelerating Digital Transformation (DX) in SMEs," emphasizing that DX is not a choice but an essential strategy for survival.


He stated that local SMEs should accelerate digital transformation (DX) by utilizing the latest technologies such as cloud, AI, and IoT, and strengthen their innovation and competitiveness through external collaboration and open innovation strategies.


In the latter part of the event, a platform for information exchange was provided through Tech Partnering among companies, where they shared various needs and challenges.


In particular, industry-specific Tech Partnering sessions aimed to maximize the effectiveness of collaboration by reflecting the technological needs and capabilities of the companies.


Additionally, through guidance on Gyeongbuk TP's business support programs for the following year, participating companies received detailed information on step-by-step support programs related to technology development, commercialization, and market entry, enabling them to identify tangible benefits directly linked to their business growth.


Ha Inseong, President of Gyeongbuk TP, stated, "In a rapidly changing industrial environment, proactive and active responses are essential for local companies to remain competitive," adding, "Gyeongbuk TP will continue to be a strong foundation for corporate growth and will spare no effort in nurturing core leading companies that represent the region."
