A Platform for Sharing Experiences and Achievements in Science and Information Education
The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education held the "2025 Gangwon Digital Science Education Performance Sharing Conference" at the Inter-Burgo Hotel in Wonju on December 19, with over 300 participants including elementary, middle, and high school teachers and educational professionals from the province.
This performance sharing conference was organized to share the main achievements of science and information education initiatives carried out throughout 2025 and to explore directions for project implementation in 2026.
In particular, the event took a step forward by moving away from a presentation-centered format and newly introducing small group training sessions and networking programs, thereby evolving into a sharing-oriented event where practical experiences and educational outcomes from the school field could be exchanged.
The event consisted of: a comprehensive report on the achievements of digital science education in 2025; a keynote lecture on the future of digital science and information education; an introduction to the 2026 digital science education project plan; small group training and networking among teachers for each science and information project; and presentations of outstanding cases from major projects.
Participants exchanged educational experiences and know-how through various participatory programs such as poster exhibitions, sharing of lesson cases, and AI-based hands-on activities, providing a practical and meaningful opportunity for professional development.
Park Seonggwan, Director of Future Education, stated, "This performance sharing conference has become a meaningful platform for teachers to exchange and spread practical experiences and expertise from the educational field under the core value of 'sharing.' Going forward, the Provincial Office of Education will continue to strengthen a virtuous cycle in which practical cases from schools are reflected in educational policies in line with the era of digital transformation, and will continuously promote a teacher-centered future education ecosystem."
