The Dream Voucher program provides elementary school-aged youth with a monthly voucher of 100,000 won to offer diverse experiences in arts and physical education and to ease the childcare burden on parents.

This new round of applications is open to children born in 2019 who are registered residents of Wonju City. All children born in 2019 are eligible, regardless of their birthday or current elementary school enrollment status. Additionally, children born between 2014 and 2018 who have not yet applied may also submit applications.

Applications for new users will be accepted at the local administrative welfare centers in each town, township, or neighborhood starting on December 22. A guardian must visit in person with their ID. Existing users will continue to be eligible in 2026 without the need for reapplication; however, support for children born in 2013 will end as of December 2025.

The vouchers can be used at designated arts and physical education partner establishments registered in Wonju City. They cannot be used at academic institutes focused on entrance exam subjects such as Korean, English, or mathematics.

The list of partner establishments can be found on the "Wonju City Dream Voucher Card" app or on the city website (by navigating to Category Information - Welfare Portal - Children/Youth/Young Adults - Dream Voucher Partner Inquiry).

Kim Kyungmi, Director of the Education and Youth Division, stated, "We will continue to do our best to improve and manage the voucher program to ensure its smooth operation in the future."
