Experiential Return Gifts Linked to Local Tourism and Cultural Resources, Including Handmade Tofu Workshops
Jeollanam-do held the "2026 Hometown Love Donation Return Gift Selection Committee" and selected 14 new return gifts proposed by 7 companies, linking them with local tourism and cultural resources such as hands-on experiences in making traditional tofu.
With this selection, the total number of return gifts offered by the Hometown Love Donation Program operated by Jeollanam-do has increased to 334, making it the largest among all local governments nationwide.
The return gifts from Jeollanam-do are broadly composed, ranging from agricultural, marine, and livestock products to processed foods, local crafts, and experiential services. The selection focused on items produced in the region or utilizing local resources, taking both quality and regional characteristics into account.
In particular, experiential return gifts connected to local tourism and cultural resources-such as admission tickets to "Play Park" in Mokpo and the "Handmade Tofu Experience" in Doseon Guksa Village, Gwangyang-have been included, offering donors the option to directly experience Jeollanam-do.
During the selection process, Jeollanam-do comprehensively reviewed document screening, quality verification, price appropriateness, and contribution to the local economy. The focus was on items that would both increase donor satisfaction and provide practical benefits to local producers and small business owners.
The return gifts selected this time will be sequentially registered on the official Hometown Love Donation website, "Hometown Love eum," after completing supply contract procedures. Some new return gifts will be available starting at the end of December.
Kang Kyungmoon, Head of the Hometown Love Division of Jeollanam-do, stated, "Jeollanam-do continues to expand the range of donor choices by consistently discovering return gifts that make use of diverse local resources," adding, "We will continue to strive for an operation of the Hometown Love Donation Program that promotes mutual growth with local producers."
To mark the end of the year, Jeollanam-do is holding an event to expand participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program and promote the consumption of local seafood products. Until December 31, the first 2,000 people who donate at least 100,000 won to Jeollanam-do and write a review of their return gift will receive additional Jeollanam-do Gopchang-gim (seasoned seaweed).
Donors can automatically participate in the event by ordering and receiving a return gift through Hometown Love eum and writing a review, with no separate application required. Further details can be found on the Hometown Love eum website.
