On December 18, SMCG, an original design manufacturer (ODM) specializing in cosmetic glass containers, announced that it has signed a strategic business agreement with Yeppeuda (YEPODA GmbH), a German skincare cosmetics company.
Under this agreement, SMCG will expand beyond the product containers it has previously supplied to Yeppeuda, increasing its design and supply of new product containers. The company will also provide other cosmetic packaging materials required by Yeppeuda, thereby increasing the total package volume supplied.
Yeppeuda is a K-beauty-based company founded in Berlin, Germany in 2020. Its brand name, 'Yeppeuda,' is derived from the Korean word for 'beautiful.' Yeppeuda manufactures its products entirely in Korea, using natural and active ingredients. By utilizing eco-friendly packaging solutions, the brand has gained significant popularity in the European market. Building on this success, Yeppeuda plans to enter the U.S. market next year.
Yeppeuda expects to consistently realize its eco-friendly values through SMCG’s innovative glass container solutions.
SMCG has begun establishing a mass production system to meet the supply demands of more than 20 new clients in the United States, Germany, Spain, Australia, and Switzerland, including brands such as ECO TAN and GAL SKINCARE. The company is investing in facility upgrades to enable the production of two products per line, instead of the previous one product per line.
