Hangang Bando Ubora Apartment, located in Dasan New Town, Namyangju City and home to approximately 1,200 households, has announced the introduction of an AI-based posture prevention system to support residents in preventing postural issues and managing their health in daily life.
This system was implemented through a business agreement (MOU) involving healthcare company Barowel Co., Ltd. and the local partner medical institution, Yulchi Korean Medicine Hospital. As a case of adopting a prevention-focused health management system at the apartment complex level, it is expected to serve as a catalyst for the spread of lifestyle-oriented healthcare models.
The newly introduced 'FormNana' app is an AI-powered health management platform that analyzes overall body posture balance using only smartphone photos and provides prevention-focused exercise routines and management guides tailored to each individual's posture. The platform is characterized by its focus on posture awareness and everyday management, rather than medical diagnosis.
The system is designed to allow residents to conveniently monitor changes in their posture at home without visiting a hospital. Through the app, residents can regularly check their posture as a reference, follow customized exercise instructions, and practice daily posture management and prevention-focused exercise. The structure also allows for expert consultations when needed.
The operators explained that this program is a non-medical, prevention and management-focused system that does not serve as a medical act or diagnosis. Its goal is to improve residents' awareness of health in daily life and foster autonomous management habits.
Barowel Co., Ltd., the company operating the AI posture prevention system, has strengthened the system's stability and reliability by establishing an operation and data management framework based on international certifications such as ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety).
Jung Jisoo, representative of Hangang Bando Ubora Apartment and president of the Dasan New Town General Association, stated, "With the introduction of this AI posture prevention system, we plan to gradually expand daily health management systems to other apartment complexes within Dasan New Town."
Choi Wonwoo, director of Yulchi Korean Medicine Hospital, said, "It is meaningful to participate in this collaboration in an advisory role for improving the health of local residents," adding, "I hope this helps residents understand their posture and continue health management in their daily lives."
Kim Suyeol, CEO of Barowel Co., Ltd., stated, "We aimed to build a lifestyle-oriented prevention system that allows anyone to easily check and manage their posture at home through AI technology," and added, "We will continue to expand posture prevention and health management models in collaboration with the local community."
