Cooperation to Strengthen Entrepreneurial Capabilities
and Build a Technology Startup Ecosystem
Dong-Eui University (President Han Suhwan) signed a business agreement with the Busan Technology Startup Investment Agency (President Seo Jonggun) on December 15 in the conference room on the second floor of the university's main building to promote the activation of the RISE project.
The signing ceremony was attended by Han Suhwan, President of Dong-Eui University, Lee Imgeon, Director of the RISE Project Group, Kim Seonghee, Deputy Director, Seo Jonggun, President of the Busan Technology Startup Investment Agency, Kim Nakhee, Director of Business Strategy, Kim Dongwook, Director of Innovation Startup, and other officials.
The two institutions will cooperate in the following areas: joint operation of education programs for technology startups and student entrepreneurship based on intellectual property; co-hosting of startup activation programs such as competitions, camps, and mentoring; discovery and commercialization support of items utilizing invention patents; support for strengthening the competitiveness of technology startups; and enhancement of cooperation with the local startup ecosystem and industry partners.
Han Suhwan, President of Dong-Eui University, stated, "Just as Apple, one of the world's leading companies, started in a garage, we will actively support patent applications and commercialization linkage programs to help students' and citizens' ideas achieve successful results."
President Han also emphasized, "We will contribute to the creation of a startup ecosystem that will become the source of competitiveness for local industries."
