Kwangdong Pharmaceutical announced on December 18 that it conducted rural experience activities together with the Korea Child Abuse Prevention Association to help support the emotional stability of children in group homes.
This initiative was designed to provide children living in group homes with the opportunity to directly experience rural life, gain an understanding of community values, and develop their social adaptation skills. The program took place at a rural experience learning center in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province, over a two-day, one-night schedule, with a total of about 80 participants, including children and organization officials.

The program included a variety of activities that allowed participants to connect closely with nature, such as trout fishing, forest exploration, and crop cultivation. The children naturally developed a sense of cooperation through unique experiences not usually available to them, such as touring the countryside on a tractor and making pizza in a wood-fired oven. In particular, making kimchi together and sharing stories around a self-made wood stove during the camping experience brought great joy to the participating children.
A Kwangdong Pharmaceutical official said, "We hope that through this program, the children were able to find comfort in nature and learn the importance of sharing and cooperation," adding, "We will continue to provide support for the healthy growth of future generations."
Meanwhile, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical has been continuously supporting children in group homes with programs such as water safety education and career experience learning for disadvantaged children. In addition, the company leads the way in fostering future generations through various social contribution programs, including the 'Gasan Environmental Children's Art Contest' to raise environmental awareness among children and the 'Gasan Youth Scholarship' for economically disadvantaged youth.
