The police have notified Jeon Jae-su, a lawmaker from the Democratic Party of Korea, to appear for questioning on December 19 in connection with allegations of political lobbying by the Unification Church.

According to a summary of The Asia Business Daily's coverage on December 18, the special investigation team of the National Police Agency has informed Jeon to appear at the police for questioning tomorrow.
Previously, on December 15, the police conducted searches of Jeon's parliamentary office, his local office in Busan, his residence, and his ministerial office in Sejong. During these searches, the police seized Jeon's mobile phone, PC files, and various documents, including congratulatory messages related to Unification Church events.
Jeon is suspected of receiving 20 million won in cash and a Bulgari watch worth about 10 million won from the Unification Church around 2018 on charges including bribery. However, the watch was not found during the search and seizure.
