Seogu was selected as an excellent institution in three categories in the 2025 National Major Health Project Performance Evaluation on the 18th. Provided by Gwangju Seogu.
Since 2022, Seogu has achieved outstanding results for four consecutive years in the National Fitness 100 Project evaluation, establishing itself as a national model case.
Through the National Fitness 100 Project, Seogu has continuously strengthened the foundation for community health activities by providing scientific fitness assessment services and personalized exercise prescriptions for residents, as well as operating fitness management programs for the elderly and vulnerable groups.
In particular, by building cooperative systems with educational, medical, and welfare institutions and private sports facilities, and by advancing data-based personalized services, Seogu has contributed to improving the health of its residents.
In the Nutrition Plus Project, Seogu is focusing on creating a healthy nutritional intake environment for nutritionally vulnerable groups such as pregnant women and infants.
Seogu is actively identifying new participants in collaboration with the Family Center, Dream Start, and local administrative welfare centers, and is taking the lead in addressing health disparities by encouraging voluntary participation centered on the local community through a multicultural care network.
In the Community Health Survey, Seogu has focused on increasing participation rates, strengthening professional training for surveyors, and implementing effective promotional strategies, all with the goal of producing foundational data necessary for establishing national health policies.
Lee Wongu, Director of the Seogu Public Health Center, stated, "Achieving this triple crown is the result of the active participation of local residents and the dedicated efforts of our staff. We will continue to do our best to create a healthy Seogu by expanding health promotion projects tailored to the characteristics of our district, based on evidence-based health policies."
