Strengthening Local Operations and Audit Infrastructure
Supporting Post-Incident Investigations
Samil PwC is introducing comprehensive risk management services for local subsidiaries and branches of Korean companies operating in Southeast Asia.
On December 18, Samil PwC announced the official launch of its so-called "Trust Infrastructure Service."
Through this service, the company explained that it would strengthen preemptive infrastructure by analyzing operational policies between headquarters and local subsidiaries and establishing internal audit systems. In addition, it will provide services that quantitatively identify areas with a high risk of fraud through data-driven management system diagnostics, and, based on these findings, help reorganize and review risk management frameworks.
Furthermore, the company will offer real-time prevention and monitoring services, including forensic-based fraud detection and communication monitoring for core processes such as funds, procurement, and payroll. AI-based supply chain monitoring will enable multi-dimensional analysis of procurement-related fraud risks.
In the event of an incident, a dedicated team of external and internal audit experts will be dispatched to conduct forensic investigations, including on-site management assessments, fraud investigations, and damage calculations. If necessary, the company will also support follow-up measures such as improving internal controls and reorganizing governance structures.
Steven Jung, Partner and Leader of the Southeast Asia Business Platform at Samil PwC, stated, "The sophistication with which a trust infrastructure is designed, optimized for the organization's characteristics and operating environment, determines a company's risk response capabilities. Especially amid the AI-driven transformation and rapid changes in the business environment, building such infrastructure will become a key driver for boosting corporate performance and stability much faster than in the past."
