Gyeonggi Province has developed 'Youth Digital Safety Education Online Content' to address digital crimes involving teenagers and has uploaded it to the Gyeonggi Lifelong Learning Portal 'GSEEK'.

The newly uploaded content consists of 10 online education courses for teenagers and 100 short-form videos easily accessible on social networking services (SNS).

The courses focus on real cases frequently occurring in schools, aiming to help teenagers accurately understand the risks they face in digital environments and empower them to respond on their own.

Former profiler Kwon Ilyong and producer Do Junwoo serve as hosts, with appearances by school police officers responsible for school violence prevention and response, a comedian with experience of school violence, an AI researcher, a neuroscientist, and a lawyer.

The main topics include the Nth Room case, cyberbullying, deepfake crimes, youth gambling, SNS-based crimes, and voice phishing-types of digital crimes and prevention and response methods that both teenagers and parents must know. The content is structured around real-life cases rather than abstract theoretical explanations to enhance understanding.

In particular, the content not only conveys the current situation from the perspective of teenagers, but also provides advice for parents on how to understand and guide their children, making it suitable as educational material at home.

Hong Seongdeok, Director of Lifelong Education at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "This youth digital safety education content is especially meaningful as it was created based on suggestions from residents. Since it is structured around real cases and school settings, it will provide practical help to teenagers facing digital threats and to parents who are concerned about them."
