"Perfectly Aligned with the Growth Promotion Direction for Management-Innovative SMEs"
The Main-Biz Association (Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association) expressed its full support for the "2026 Ministry of SMEs and Startups Work Report" announced on December 17, 2025.
In a statement released the same day, the Main-Biz Association said, "The policy direction of the 2026 Ministry of SMEs and Startups Work Report, which envisions 'restoring the growth ladder for SMEs, ventures, and small business owners,' is perfectly aligned with the 'growth promotion direction for management-innovative SMEs' that the association has consistently advocated."
The association continued, "SMEs have faced multiple management burdens, including a worsening external environment such as high interest rates and high inflation, difficulties in financing, labor shortages, weak protection of technology, and limitations in customized support at each stage of growth. In particular, there have been cases where SMEs preparing to leap forward through management innovation have encountered 'growth stagnation' due to insufficient institutional support at critical growth stages."
The association added, "The four key initiatives of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups accurately reflect the management challenges and growth demands faced by management-innovative SMEs." Accordingly, the association pledged active cooperation in the implementation of future policies, including the establishment of an integrated support platform for SMEs, the creation of regional startup and venture ecosystems, and the protection of technology-driven SMEs.
Finally, the association stated, "This work report marks a turning point in SME policy, shifting from overcoming the crisis in 2025 to achieving growth in 2026," and added, "The association will do its utmost, together with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, to restore the growth ladder for management-innovative SMEs."
