According to Seo-gu District, this business agreement was promoted to promptly resolve inconveniences in the daily lives of residents. The ceremony was attended by Deputy District Mayor Kim Seongbae, Yoon Soonseop, CEO of Hwaseong Trading, Lee Youngil, CEO of Pyeonghwa Hardware, Joo Jaesik, CEO of Nara Hardware, and Lee Youngju, CEO of Sion Hardware.
These businesses, recognized as "good-neighbor stores" for their regular monthly donations, also expressed their strong desire to actively participate in caring for their neighbors.
The "24-Hour Safety Dispatch" service provides customized home visits for residents such as seniors aged 65 and over and people with disabilities, who may have difficulty resolving inconveniences on their own. When they call the Safety Call service, they can receive assistance with consumable replacements (such as fluorescent lights, faucets, valves, handles), installation of safety handles, shelves, and handrails, repairs of toilets, and inspections of gas stoves and ventilators.
Under the agreement, Seo-gu District will oversee the overall operation of the project, including relaying Safety Call requests and providing budget support. The four partner businesses will each be responsible for a portion of the district's 18 neighborhoods, delivering customized home visit services to promptly address residents' needs.
Deputy District Mayor Kim Seongbae stated, "This agreement is a community-based care model created through collaboration between the local government and businesses. We will continue to strengthen the '24-Hour Safety Dispatch' service to provide immediate and practical support that residents can feel, even in times of crisis."
Meanwhile, since last April, Seo-gu District has established and operated a "24-Hour Safety Call - 24-Hour Safety Dispatch - 24-Hour Safety Care" system, offering a one-stop service from request to consultation and resolution. To date, the district has handled 2,137 consultations, 573 service referrals, and 531 safety dispatch referrals.
