The ceremony began with a parade of participants from each of the 16 towns, townships, and neighborhoods, followed by a report on the achievements of 2025, a presentation on the direction for 2026, awards for distinguished contributors, opening and congratulatory remarks, the reading of a resolution, and the singing of the Saemaul song. In the second part of the event, Saemaul leaders from each region took to the stage to showcase their talents, fostering unity and communication.

In his opening address, Branch President Shin Won-young expressed his gratitude, saying, "I deeply appreciate all the leaders who have quietly volunteered throughout the community this year, putting the Saemaul spirit into practice. Every small action you have taken has helped bring about change in our region. Moving forward, we will continue to work closely with citizens to systematically promote sharing, environmental, and community projects, further spreading the values of the Saemaul Undong."

Mayor Bang responded, "The Saemaul Undong has been the driving force supporting our local community and remains a vital value even in changing times. Thanks to the dedication of all the Saemaul leaders, Gwangju City is growing into a warmer and healthier city. I hope that Saemaul Undong activities, such as practicing carbon neutrality, supporting vulnerable groups, and creating a pleasant living environment close to citizens, will continue to be a strong driving force for the development of Gwangju City."

Meanwhile, the Gwangju Saemaul Association continues to carry out a variety of activities with citizens, such as the "Visiting Red Food Truck of Love," "Carbon Neutrality Initiatives," "Disinfection Volunteer Work," and "Seasonal Kimchi Sharing," contributing to community development and the spread of communal values.
