The company announced on the 17th that the 2025 wage negotiation proposal was approved with a record-high 91.54% approval rate in a general vote by union members held on the 16th.

In particular, the voter turnout reached 92.92%, demonstrating active participation from union members and resulting in a high approval rate. This shows that the proposal won strong support from the membership. This figure far exceeds the previous record of 82.2% set last year.

With President Kang Kiyoon achieving the highest-ever approval rate for two consecutive years since taking office, Korea South-East Power Company is steadily establishing an advanced labor-management cooperation model through the realization of “United Namdong.”

This year’s negotiations were expected to be challenging due to a lack of resources for wage increases, such as a rise in the number of employees under the wage peak system. However, the company found a breakthrough by taking various measures in line with its spirit of “creativity and challenge,” including expanding transfer opportunities for wage peak employees and strengthening reemployment support programs.

Throughout this process, President Kang Kiyoon maintained open communication channels with the union, emphasizing the principle that “the sustainable future of all members is the top priority” and leading the parties to reach an agreement through continuous dialogue.

Since taking office, President Kang Kiyoon has actively led labor-management communication himself, earning a reputation as a “master of communication” and furthering the realization of “United Namdong.”

Kang Kiyoon, President of Korea South-East Power Company, stated, “Negotiation is a process in which labor and management come together to deliberate, communicate, and find the best possible solution that satisfies both parties. This year, too, the agreement was passed with a high approval rate through active communication based on strong mutual trust, which is meaningful. We will continue to foster a culture of proactive communication between labor and management.”

Meanwhile, Korea South-East Power Company plans to continue developing an exemplary labor-management cooperation model, recognizing that facing the rapidly changing energy environment in unity is more important than ever.
