Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Jin-tae) has created an opportunity to communicate directly with high school students, the leaders of the future generation, and share the region's vision.

On the morning of December 17 at 10 a.m., Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province held a "Visiting Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Special Lecture" for about 370 students at the auditorium of Wonju Mirae High School.
This lecture was the second of its kind, following the event at Gangneung Jungang High School on December 4. Governor Kim Jin-tae personally took the stage as the lecturer, practicing communication-oriented administration tailored to the perspectives of the younger generation.
During the lecture, Governor Kim shared honest stories from his own childhood, drawing empathy from the students.
He specifically mentioned that in 2023, Gangwon Province was newly established as "Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province," and Wonju Technical High School changed its name to "Wonju Mirae High School." He emphasized that "a change in name signifies new opportunities and challenges."
Governor Kim went on to explain the strengthened regulatory reforms and future industry development strategies that have been implemented since the launch of the special self-governing province.
He presented a concrete vision of how advanced industries such as semiconductors, biotechnology, and future mobility-areas of focus for Gangwon Province-will create new jobs and opportunities for students in the future.

Governor Kim Jin-tae said, "In 2023, Gangwon Province began a new chapter as Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, and Wonju Technical High School became Wonju Mirae High School. I hope that each of your dreams and challenges will meet the new opportunities being created by Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and lead to an even greater future."
