Dunamu, the operator of the virtual asset exchange Upbit, announced on December 17 that it will hold a special invitation event to commemorate its participation as the title sponsor of the 40th Golden Disc Awards, offering an exclusive opportunity to attend the awards ceremony in Taiwan in person.
This year's ceremony will be officially titled "The 40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit." It will take place at the Taipei Dome in Taiwan on January 10, 2026. A total of 18 artist teams are scheduled to deliver special performances.
Dunamu has prepared the "Golden Disc Awards Invitation Event" so that Upbit members can enjoy the performances live at the venue. The event runs until December 23, and any Upbit member can participate. By clicking the "Participate in Event" button and trading a cumulative amount of at least 100,000 won during the event period, members will be entered into the drawing.
Ten winners will be selected by lottery from among the participants and will receive a three-day, two-night package that includes Golden Disc Awards tickets, round-trip airfare to Taiwan, and local accommodation. Detailed information about the event can be found in Upbit's official announcements.
An Upbit representative stated, "We aim to expand our brand experience through K-pop, which is leading global culture," adding, "We hope that more members will be able to experience the excitement of the event in person through Upbit."
Meanwhile, this year's Golden Disc Awards will be broadcast exclusively in Korea via Naver Chzzzik and globally via Prism. The winner of the "Golden Disc Upbit Popularity Award," which is determined 100% by fan votes, will be selected through voting on the official Golden Disc channel within the Prism app starting December 22.
