The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority will participate in CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition, for the third consecutive year to showcase Incheon’s vision as an “Artificial Intelligence (AI) City.”

On December 18, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced that it will operate the “Incheon City-IFEZ (Incheon Free Economic Zone) Pavilion” at CES 2026, which will be held in Las Vegas, United States, from January 6 to 9 next year, under the theme “Destination Incheon: From Smart City to AI City.”

The Incheon City-IFEZ Pavilion will feature three zones: the “Living Zone” (AI Smart Living Zone), which enhances citizen services such as mobility, safety, energy, and health; the “Work Zone” (AI Innovation Hub Zone), which drives innovation in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, food, and pharmaceuticals; and the “Play Zone” (AI Creative City Zone), which focuses on content and experience creation. Through these zones, Incheon plans to introduce its innovative technologies that are evolving the city from a smart city to an AI city.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority will also host the “Global AI City Session,” a program to discuss strategies for Incheon’s advancement as an AI city with global urban and industry experts. Additionally, it will facilitate networking opportunities between local Incheon companies and overseas enterprises, offering each company one-on-one meetings with buyers, venture capitalists, and startup accelerators. The 51 innovative companies from the region participating in CES alongside the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority will showcase their cutting-edge technologies at the pavilion and other venues, seeking to expand into global markets.

Previously, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority has prepared for robust participation by startups through programs such as pre-business matching, global exhibition participation training, and support for winning CES Innovation Awards since the first half of the year. As a result, 14 companies won a total of 17 Innovation Awards, setting a new record. The Authority plans to further support these award-winning companies by operating additional showcases, thereby increasing their global recognition and expanding follow-up business opportunities.

Yoo Jeongbok, Mayor of Incheon, stated, “CES 2026 is an important opportunity to further expand the global capabilities of Incheon and its companies. We will do our utmost to share Incheon’s AI city strategy with the world and to establish Incheon not just as a city to pass through, but as a global destination and a leading AI city.”
