On December 16, 2025, the Gumi Office of Education in North Gyeongsang Province held a council meeting for the western region of North Gyeongsang at the Gumi Office of Education, Samsung Electronics, and Nongshim Gumi Factory, with the heads of the Kimcheon, Seongju, Sangju, Goryeong, and Chilgok Offices of Education in attendance.


This council meeting introduced the main work plans for 2025 under the theme of "Gumi Education Growing Together by Fostering Future Competencies," shared cases of school support, and presented ongoing and distinctive projects.


Participants then toured industrial facilities in the Gumi area, including Samsung Electronics and Nongshim Gumi Factory, to share a variety of activation cases by each local office in connection with students' career education, and to jointly explore customized future education visions for major local education issues.

In the morning, they visited the industrial facility at Samsung Electronics' 2nd Gumi Plant, exchanging views on career and vocational education for students and collaborative models between companies. In the afternoon, they visited Nongshim Gumi Factory, creating an opportunity for information exchange and collaboration among the education office, companies, and schools.


Min Byungdo, Head of the Gumi Office of Education, who presided over the council, said, "It was a meaningful time to visit major industrial facilities in the Gumi area, share ideas with the heads of education from the western region on ways to link students' career and vocational education, and exchange valuable opinions on key educational issues."
