On December 17, a banner announcing the "2026 Korea Grand Sale" was displayed on Myeongdong Street in Jung-gu, Seoul. The Korea Grand Sale is South Korea's representative shopping tourism festival, held since 2011 to promote inbound tourism and spending by foreigners during the off-peak season. It is based on private sector participation across various sectors, including airlines, accommodation, shopping, food and beverages, experiences, and convenience services. Notably, this year, the event has been moved up to December to allow even more foreign visitors to enjoy its benefits.
