Sealy Korea CEO Jonghyo Yoon Wins Win-Win Sustainability Award at HDI Human Management Awards Sealy Korea CEO Jonghyo Yoon Receives 'HDI Human Management Award'

Sealy Korea, a global premium mattress brand, announced on the 17th that CEO Jonghyo Yoon has been honored with the Win-Win Sustainability Award at the 10th HDI Human Management Awards, organized by the Human Development Institute (HDI).

The HDI Human Management Award was established to promote the spread of human-centered corporate culture. The award is organized by the Human Development Institute, and this year's ceremony was held on the 16th at the Riviera Hotel in Cheongdam, Seoul.

Jonghyo Yoon, CEO of Sealy Korea, has leveraged his experience leading long-established global brands such as Nike, Montblanc, and Samsonite to develop Sealy Bed into a brand that "designs quality of life beyond just beds." Guided by his firm philosophy that "brands are built over time," he has maintained a management strategy centered on quality, standards, and trust. He has also expanded this approach into projects that combine Korean traditional culture and craftsmanship, earning recognition for establishing a unique value model.

In practice, Sealy Korea has consistently carried out traditional culture preservation and regional win-win projects in collaboration with national intangible heritage artisans. By naturally connecting Korea's unique traditional culture and craftsmanship-such as Andong cotton, Naju indigo dyeing, and Goesan hanji-with product experiences and brand storytelling, the company has received high marks for contributing to the creation of a sustainable regional win-win ecosystem.

Jonghyo Yoon, CEO of Sealy Korea, stated, "This award is especially meaningful because it recognizes not just an individual's achievements, but the journey of adhering to a management philosophy that enables our employees and local communities to grow together." He added, "As a global brand with 144 years of tradition, we will continue to expand a sustainable win-win model with a strong sense of responsibility."

Meanwhile, Sealy Bed is a global mattress brand with a 144-year tradition, offering the ultimate sleep solutions that go beyond premium. Since beginning its collaboration with orthopedic doctors in 1950, Sealy Bed has provided the best sleep environment with differentiated technology, maintaining its position as the top-selling mattress brand in the United States, the home of mattresses.

Additionally, Sealy Korea has received 'Radon Safe Product' certification for a total of 92 products from the Korea Standards Association (KSA), the official domestic organization for radon safety certification. The company has established the industry's highest-level radon safety verification system, conducting safety inspections on major raw materials and performing RAD7 tests on all finished products before release.

The 'Crown Jewel' line, which recently began domestic production, was also launched after passing tests by the Yonsei University Radon Safety Center, which handles 'Radon Safe Product' certification. Sealy Korea is preparing for certification renewal in line with the renewal period for all products in December this year.

Since launching its mattress business in Korea in 2008, Sealy Korea established a factory in Yeoju in 2016 on a 55,000-square-meter site, producing high-end luxury lines such as Crown Jewel and premium line mattresses like Exquisite in accordance with the standards of the Australian R&D Center. In June of this year, Sealy began construction of a new factory, which will be the largest Sealy mattress production facility in Asia.
