Equipped with a High-Performance NPU-Based AI Engine
Samsung Electronics is expanding its Micro RGB TV lineup to strengthen its presence in the premium market.
On December 17, Samsung Electronics announced that following the initial launch of its 115-inch Micro RGB TV, which features the latest display technology, in August this year, the company has diversified its 2026 Micro RGB TV lineup to include six different sizes: 55, 66, 75, 85, 100, and 115 inches. Samsung Electronics plans to hold a "The First Look" exhibition at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, United States, on January 6 (local time), where it will showcase the Micro RGB TV.
The Micro RGB TV features an RGB color backlight with micro-sized RGB light-emitting diodes (LEDs) precisely arranged on the screen, allowing independent and precise control of red, green, and blue colors. In particular, the Micro RGB technology reduces the size of the RGB LED chips to less than 100 micrometers, enabling even denser and more sophisticated control of color and brightness. This maximizes the "local dimming" effect, enhancing contrast expression. The miniaturized components allow for delicate representation of deep blacks and bright images.
Samsung Electronics' Micro RGB TV has achieved 100% of the BT2020 color accuracy standard established by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and has received the "Micro RGB Precision Color" certification from the German testing and certification organization VDE. Notably, it is equipped with a high-performance neural processing unit (NPU)-based AI engine, which offers a differentiated viewing experience through features such as "4K AI Upscaling" that upscales content to 4K, and "Micro RGB Color Booster Pro," where AI optimizes colors for each scene.
Lee Heon, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, stated, "By expanding the Micro RGB TV lineup, we aim to meet the demands of many consumers seeking the ultimate picture quality experience," adding, "We will continue to secure our leadership in the emerging premium Micro RGB market."
