This year's architecture awards targeted single-family houses in Seongnam City that received occupancy approval within the past ten years. A total of 22 buildings were submitted for the competition, which began in September. After the first round of document screening and the second round of on-site evaluations, five projects were ultimately selected as winners.
The selected projects were praised for maintaining their unique characteristics while harmoniously embodying the essential values and public nature of residential architecture, thereby setting a new standard for housing architecture in Seongnam City.
The Grand Prize was awarded to 'Woonjung-dong Chingune House' (designed by Jung Jaeheon, Mono Architects). This project received high marks in both the document and on-site evaluations, as the details of materials and functions were faithfully realized from design to construction through close collaboration between the architect and the client, and the organic integration of interior and exterior spaces was highly regarded.

The Gold Prize went to 'Woonjung-dong House' (designed by Lee Sangjin, Sang Architects), the Silver Prize to 'Godeung-dong Multi-family House' (designed by Kang Woohyun, Archihood Architects), and the Bronze Prize to both 'House Within a House' (designed by Yoon Jooyeon, Appropriate Architecture) and 'Geumgok-dong House' (designed by Seung Hyo-sang, IROJE Architects & Planners).
The awards ceremony, held on the 15th, was attended by the owners, architects, and builders of the winning projects, who celebrated the achievement together. Seongnam City expects that these awards and the exhibition will help raise public awareness of residential environments and contribute to creating a more livable city.
