On Wednesday, the 17th, most regions across the country will be generally cloudy. The skies will gradually clear from the morning in the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungcheong region, and from the afternoon in the Jeolla region, Gyeongnam region, and Jeju Island.
Rain or snow is expected in the mountainous areas and along the east coast of Gangwon Province from morning until night. From the afternoon, rain or snow is also expected in the northern east coast of North Gyeongsang Province and the northeastern mountainous areas, and from nighttime in the southern east coast of North Gyeongsang Province.
Jeju Island will experience rain between dawn and the morning. There may be traces of rain, less than 0.1 mm, from dawn to morning in the Chungcheong and Jeolla regions, the western inland area of North Gyeongsang Province, as well as in Busan, the southern coast of Gyeongnam, and the western inland of Gyeongnam. The expected snowfall is 1 to 3 cm in the mountainous areas of Gangwon Province and less than 1 cm in the northeastern mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang Province. The expected precipitation is 5 to 10 mm along the east coast of Gangwon Province, around 5 mm in the mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, around 5 mm in the northern east coast and northeastern mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang Province, and less than 5 mm in the southern east coast of North Gyeongsang Province.
The morning low temperatures are expected to range from -2 to 8 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs from 5 to 14 degrees Celsius.
The fine dust concentration is forecast to be 'bad' in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Sejong, North Chungcheong, and Daegu, while it will be 'moderate' in other regions. However, Incheon, the Yeongseo area of Gangwon Province, Daejeon, South Chungcheong, and the Honam region are expected to experience 'bad' levels until the morning; Jeju Island in the morning; North Gyeongsang Province from dawn to midday; and Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam from morning to midday.
Wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the coastal waters of the East Sea, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the coastal waters of the West Sea and South Sea. In the offshore areas (up to about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea.
