On December 13, the Graduate School of National Security Policy at Dong-Eui University (Dean Kim Sangwon) received a donation of 10 heat-resistant suits worth 10 million won from Sungkwang Tech, a company specializing in protective clothing manufacturing.

The donation ceremony was attended by Kim Sangwon, Dean of the Graduate School of National Security Policy, professors and students of the graduate school, as well as Kang Bin, CEO of Sungkwang Tech and a member of the 8th class of the Graduate School, along with employees of the company.


Dong-Eui University plans to use the donated heat-resistant suits for practical training and other educational purposes, and to place them in key campus buildings to enable a swift response in the event of a fire.


Sungkwang Tech, located in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, is a specialized company that produces industrial, firefighting, and marine heat-resistant suits with the highest level of technology and quality competitiveness in Korea.


Kang Bin, CEO of Sungkwang Tech, explained the reason for the donation by saying, "As disaster sites become larger and more complex, protective clothing and equipment to safeguard citizens are becoming increasingly important. I decided to donate the heat-resistant suits with the hope that young students can conduct research in a safe environment and that the educational environment will remain protected in the event of unexpected disasters."


Kim Sangwon, Dean of the Graduate School of National Security Policy, stated, "These heat-resistant suits will be an important asset in protecting the safety of students responsible for research and practical training from the specific hazards of disaster sites. Our graduate school will further devote itself to advanced safety policy research and talent development to respond to disaster environments."
