Nuclear Steam Supply System and Turbine Generator Supply Contract with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power
Doosan Enerbility has signed a main equipment supply contract worth a total of 5.6 trillion won with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power for the Czech nuclear power plant project.
According to a disclosure on the 16th, Doosan Enerbility signed a 4.9289 trillion won contract for the supply of the nuclear steam supply system (NSSS) and a 711.1 billion won contract for the supply of turbine generators for the construction of units 5 and 6 of the Dukovany nuclear power plant in the Czech Republic. The combined value of the two contracts amounts to approximately 5.64 trillion won.
The value of the nuclear steam supply system contract alone accounts for 30.36% of Doosan Enerbility's consolidated sales in 2024, which totaled 16.233 trillion won. Including the turbine generator contract, this is a supply contract exceeding 5 trillion won for a single nuclear power plant project.
The supply targets are units 5 and 6 of the APR1000-class (1,000 MW) nuclear power plant to be built at the Dukovany site in southern Czech Republic. The contract period runs from December 15, 2025, to April 18, 2038, which is the scheduled completion date for unit 6. Payments will be made according to construction progress, with no down payment or advance payment.
The contract amount was converted into Korean won using the exchange rate as of the contract date, based on the foreign currency contract value.
The main contract for the Dukovany units 5 and 6 project between the ordering party 'EDU II' and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power was signed in June 2025. This contract is a follow-up main equipment supply contract concluded after the main contract.
