Namyangju City and Guri Namyangju Office of Education Successfully Hold "Future Education Cooperation District Performance Sharing Meeting"

Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwangdeok) and the Guri Namyangju Office of Education (Superintendent Seo Eunkyung) announced that they successfully held the "2025 Namyangju Future Education Cooperation District Performance Sharing Meeting" at Jeong Yak-yong Library on the 16th.

This performance sharing meeting served as a meaningful occasion to share the city's educational vision of "At the Center of Local Education, Realizing a New Future Education Ecosystem," and to review the major achievements of the educational cooperation projects that both institutions have promoted over the past year.

Over 300 people attended the event, including Mayor Joo Gwangdeok, local provincial and city council members, school officials, parents, and students. The program began with an opening performance by Human Book Cho Daemyung, followed by an introduction to the Future Education Cooperation District project, a screening of a video highlighting achievements, and presentations of outstanding cases for each project.

The presentations featured a variety of field-centered educational cases, such as the "Activation of the Student Council" by the Byeolgaram Middle School Student Council, the Village Teacher's Earth Stewardship Project, and the Creative Convergence Maker Education by a teacher from Jingun Middle School, all of which received an enthusiastic response.

Through the performance sharing meeting, the city reaffirmed the direction of the 17 educational cooperation projects that have been carried out over the past year in partnership with the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education and the Office of Education. To support the balanced growth of students, the city invested a total of 5.73 billion won in various educational programs, including strengthening parental educational capacity, the Dasan Experience School, on-site cultural and arts experiences, specialized curriculum operations, and the (High) Public Education Level-Up Project.

Mayor Joo Gwangdeok quoted Dasan Jeong Yak-yong, saying, "Raising a child is like creating a world," and added, "The city is doing its utmost to nurture a world by actively utilizing both human and material resources."

A school official who presented an outstanding case remarked, "I was very proud to be able to share the results of a year's activities with so many people," and added, "Through the Future Education Cooperation District project, it was a meaningful experience that enriched the school's curriculum."

The city and the Office of Education plan to sign a business agreement in February next year based on the operational plan for the 2026 Future Education Cooperation District project.
