Commercialized Innovative Technologies in the Spotlight, Including Physical AI, Digital Health, and Industrial Robotics
Practical On-Site Information Provided, Such as Exhibition Hall Maps, Success Stories, and Innovation Award Trends
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on December 16 that it will publish the report "CES 2026 Preview: What to See @ CES 2026" on December 17. The report aims to help Korean companies effectively secure business opportunities at CES 2026, the world's largest information technology and consumer electronics exhibition.
CES, held annually in Las Vegas, United States, is scheduled to take place next year under the theme "Where Innovators Take the Stage." Companies with products already implemented in the market and commercially viable solutions are expected to take center stage. Key trends are projected to include innovative technologies that are transforming daily life and moving to the forefront of society, such as digital health tech with commercialized physical artificial intelligence (AI), experience-centered mobility rather than just transportation, and collaborative industrial robotics.
The report is organized to provide a comprehensive overview of the CES exhibition structure and major technology trends at a glance. It includes essential information such as the exhibition overview, keynote speeches, daily programs and events, as well as the core keywords for CES 2026, global companies’ technology strategies, and the exhibition directions of major participating companies. The report also highlights must-see points at CES 2026. In advanced fields such as AI, mobility, and digital health, the report summarizes the key new technologies that will be showcased by participating companies in the integrated Korea Pavilion, organized by sector.
The report also provides detailed information on the composition and support offered by the integrated Korea Pavilion. Next year, 470 companies from 38 organizations will participate, an increase in scale compared to the previous year. The pavilion will be divided into an Innovation Pavilion and a National Pavilion, presenting exhibition strategies tailored to the technological characteristics of each group. Participating companies will receive full-cycle support, including buyer lists, online exhibition hall and SNS promotion, participation in on-site pitching and networking, and post-event follow-up. KOTRA has refined its support system to ensure that these innovations lead to tangible export results.
Additionally, the report offers practical information that can be used immediately on-site, such as success stories of companies that have achieved results at CES and other major overseas exhibitions, exhibition hall maps and recommended routes, consultation tips, and on-site experiences. KOTRA's proprietary "Previewing CES with Generative AI" service automatically collects and provides CES-related industry and company information based on keywords, and can generate customized reports on selected topics, making it a useful tool for systematic exhibition planning.
The report also covers trends in CES Innovation Award winners announced ahead of CES 2026. According to the first round of results released by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the organizer of CES, 168 out of 284 award-winning companies are Korean, making South Korea the country with the most CES Innovation Awards for three consecutive years. In the AI sector, Korean companies received the highest number of awards, with 28, demonstrating their competitive edge in advanced technologies, including physical AI. Among these, 49 KOTRA-supported companies received a total of 54 awards.
Kang Kyungsung, President of KOTRA, stated, "Thorough preparation is essential to achieve tangible results at CES," and added, "I hope that 'CES Preview,' which contains the latest trends, key issues, and practical information for this year's CES, will serve as a successful business guide."
