Invitation of Buyers from Hong Kong and Greater China
Expanding Export Channels for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises
Hongcheon County in Gangwon Province held the 'Overseas Buyer Invitation Export Consultation' at Sono Calm Vivaldi Park on December 16 to expand export channels for local small and medium-sized enterprises.
This consultation event was organized to go beyond existing export markets by inviting buyers from Hong Kong and Greater China, aiming to pioneer new overseas sales channels and achieve tangible export contract results.
Twelve outstanding local agricultural product exporters from Hongcheon and nine companies from Inje County participated in the export consultation, while ten buyers from the Greater China region, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, attended as overseas buyers.
The consultation showcased a wide variety of excellent products that highlight Hongcheon’s pristine nature and traditional processing methods, ranging from health functional foods such as bellflower root concentrate, omija (schisandra) concentrate, wild ginseng, and red ginseng sticks, to snacks and ready-to-eat products like handmade gangjeong, dried chips, and instant kalguksu noodles.
In addition, through product introductions, demonstrations, and customized one-on-one export consultations between companies and buyers, the event is expected to lead not only to actual export contracts but also to negotiations for entry into local distribution networks.
A Hongcheon County official stated, "We will spare no effort in providing various follow-up support, such as special promotional events, so that companies achieving contract results at this export consultation can proceed to actual exports. We will continue to support the stable overseas expansion and export competitiveness of local companies."
