Cryos Entertainment announced on December 16 that voice actor Jiwhan Ahn will temporarily suspend his activities due to health reasons.
Jiwhan Ahn will pause all broadcasting activities for the time being, including his narration work on SBS's "TV Animal Farm" and his role on the Armed Forces Broadcasting Service's "Exciting Radio." The agency stated, "He plans to focus on recovery while taking care of his health."
Jiwhan Ahn is a veteran voice actor who debuted in 1993 as part of MBC's open recruitment and has been active for 32 years. He gained widespread recognition as the main voice actor for "TV Animal Farm" for 24 years, earning the nickname "Animal Farm Uncle." He also provided narration for entertainment programs such as MBC's "Radio Star" and JTBC's "Cinema on the Couch."
He showcased his character acting in animations such as "SpongeBob SquarePants," "Slam Dunk," and "Olympus Guardian," and also appeared as an actor in films like "Galaxy" and "The Sea I Wished For," as well as dramas such as "Andante of Love" and "Gangnam Scandal."
