Improving Living Conditions in Aging Child Protection Facilities
Support Provided for High-Insulation Windows, Flooring, and More
On December 17, LX Hausys announced that it has completed the renovation of 'Good Tree and Fruit,' a group home facility located in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province.
Group homes are small-scale child protection facilities operated in apartments or multi-family residences, designed to help children and adolescents in need of protection grow safely and eventually become independent. There are about 500 such facilities nationwide. However, most group homes are aging and face difficulties in renovation due to financial constraints.

In response, since last year, LX Hausys has been conducting a social contribution project in partnership with Habitat Korea and the Korea Association of Group Homes for Children and Youth, supporting the renovation of aging group home facilities. Including 'Good Tree and Fruit,' the company has completed renovation support for a total of four group home facilities so far.
'Good Tree and Fruit' is a detached house with an area of 188.43 square meters (about 57 pyeong), where seven children and adolescents reside. The house, which is over 20 years old, had suffered floor damage in the kitchen and living room due to water leaks, and deteriorated windows caused insulation problems, making the home vulnerable to both cold and heat. As a result, urgent renovation was needed.
Starting in October, LX Hausys carried out extensive renovation work over approximately two months, providing high-insulation 'View Frame' windows, flooring, wallpaper, interior doors, and kitchen furniture. Through these efforts, 'Good Tree and Fruit' has been transformed into a more comfortable, safer, and healthier living environment.
Kim Hoon, Chief Financial Officer (CFO and Executive Director) of LX Hausys, stated, "We will continue to support children and adolescents so that they can grow and pursue their dreams in more comfortable and safe spaces."
