Gori Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters Prepares for Winter, Delivering a Warm Safety Net with Kimchi

1,320 Boxes of Kimchi Delivered to Underprivileged Groups in the Local Community

The scent of kimchi filled the heart of nuclear power.


Lee Sangwook, Head of the Gori Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, provided 1,320 boxes of kimchi to support vulnerable groups in the local community.


On December 15, the Gori Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters held the "Kimchi Made with Love Sharing" event at the Gori Sports and Culture Center in Gijang-gun, Busan, delivering 1,320 boxes (10kg each) of kimchi to 21 volunteer organizations based in Gijang-gun.

The kimchi distributed on this day was delivered evenly to underprivileged households in five towns and townships of Gijang-gun, including basic livelihood security recipients and low-income seniors living alone.


In addition, on November 19, the Gori Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters participated in the "Kimchi Sharing Festival of Love" hosted by Busan City, donating 11 million won and delivering 330 boxes (5kg each) of the kimchi prepared that day to local children's centers, free meal centers, and welfare facilities in the area.


Lee Sangwook, Head of the Gori Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters, said, "We organized this event to bring warmth to those in need of help at the end of the year," adding, "I hope this will provide even a small amount of support to help our neighbors get through the increasingly cold winter."
