This meeting, organized to develop policies based on the voices of citizens from all walks of life, was attended by representatives from a variety of sectors, including the Gimpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, manufacturing and construction companies, as well as women- and youth-led businesses. The event focused on exploring ways for mutual cooperation between the city and businesses, and provided a platform for sharing on-site challenges.
The attending business leaders voiced concerns about the difficulties in the business environment caused by the national economic downturn. They shared in-depth opinions on a range of issues, from practical challenges such as transportation and parking problems within industrial complexes and product certification, to their expectations for the Gold Line's Hagwoon extension project, as well as long-term prospects related to future developments like the Compact City project. They also agreed on the need to establish ongoing channels of communication between the administration and businesses.
Mayor Kim Byungsoo stated, "This is a time when we must unite our efforts to overcome challenges, and we will actively work together to ensure that businesses can grow alongside the development of Gimpo City."
Meanwhile, Gimpo City plans to thoroughly review the suggestions raised during this meeting and connect them to practical policies.
