Fourth Quarter Pledge Project Report Meeting Held
Goseong County in South Gyeongsang Province held the "2025 Fourth Quarter Pledge Project Report Meeting" in the county office's main conference room to review the overall progress of its pledge projects.
The report meeting, held on December 15, was attended by the county governor, the deputy governor, and senior officials. They objectively assessed the implementation status of the eighth popularly elected administration’s pledge projects and focused on measures to enhance the completion level of each project.
As of December 10, the implementation rate of the eighth administration’s pledges stood at 83%, with many projects either nearing completion or proceeding as planned. In particular, projects with high public impact-such as the creation of the Goseong Park Golf Course, the establishment of Namsan Park, the vacant lot pocket parking lot project, the paving of aging rural and village roads, and increased support for agricultural and fisheries subsidies-were reported to be progressing smoothly.
To incorporate residents' opinions in the process of implementing pledge projects, the county has introduced a citizen jury system and operated a pledge implementation evaluation team. Based on the results of this review, the county plans to devise supplementary measures for projects that are lagging behind, and for large-scale projects requiring significant financial investment, it aims to achieve phased results within the current term.
Jo Seokrae, Director of Planning and Budget, stated, "Pledges are valuable promises to our residents. We will conduct even more thorough reviews of the projects promoted under the eighth administration to ensure that the results are tangible and truly felt by the people of Goseong."
