The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has carried out a personnel reshuffle for local government officials, effective January 1 next year.
This round of appointments involves a total of 1,878 personnel: 4 at Grade 3 (including 1 promotion), 24 at Grade 4 (including 6 promotions), 329 at Grade 5 (including 71 promotions), and 1,521 at Grade 6 and below (including 441 promotions).
The Office placed particular emphasis on assigning staff with a strong understanding of the field and proven capabilities to key positions, in order to support the continuation and expansion of Gyeonggi Future Education. The goal is to ensure that educational policies can be experienced and implemented effectively at the field level.
Through these measures, the Office aims to strengthen on-site support for the realization of Gyeonggi Future Education and to respond more flexibly and proactively to the rapidly changing educational environment.
In particular, by shortening the public announcement period for this reshuffle, sufficient time has been secured for handover between outgoing and incoming staff, thereby enhancing administrative continuity.
Additionally, the ability to prepare in advance for changes in workplace assignments is expected to provide a stable foundation for continued public service careers.
The Office also plans to continue improving its personnel system to focus on competency and performance, including expanding and enhancing personnel consultations through a demand-oriented, on-site approach.
